ANALISIS KUANTITATIF DAN KUALITATIF PENERAPAN INSTRUKSI BERDUFERENSIASI: TANGGAPAN GURU DAN PENGUASAAN KONSEP IPA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPA

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif penerapan pembelajaran dengan instruksi berdiferensiasi. Pendekatan fenomenologis yang menggali keyakinan, pengalaman dan persepsi individu guru terhadap pembelajaran instruksi berdiferensiasi menjadi komponen kualitatif pada penelitian ini. Terdapat 15 guru yang sudah mengikuti pelatihan instruksi berdiferensiasi dan secara sukarela mengikuti penelitian ini. Data diambil dengan menggunakan kuesioner terbuka yang menggali informasi berkaitan dengan tanggapan guru setelah penerapan pembelajaran instruksi berdiferensiasi di kelas masing-masing. Analisis kuantitatif membandingkan penguasaan konsep siswa yang menerapkan instruksi berdiferensiasi dengan siswa yang mendapatkan instruksi yang disamakan. Dari hasil analisis terungkap bahwa setiap guru memiliki tanggapan yang positif terhadap pendekatan pembelajaran instruksi berdiferensiasi dan memberikan pengaruh yang baik terhadap siswa. Di sisi lain hasil analisis Mann-Whitney dalam penelitian kuantitatif menunjukkan bahwa pada tingkat signifikansi 5%, kelompok instruksi berdiferensiasi tidak memiliki penguasaan konsep yang signifikan lebih tinggi daripada kelompok dengan instruksi yang disamakan. Hal ini menyiratkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh instruksi berdiferensiasi yang signifikan terhadap penguasaan konsep siswa.
