ARRANGEMENT OF SLUM SETTLEMENT AREAS IN NAGARI SASAK, WEST PASAMAN DISTRICT

Abstract

This study aims to organize slum areas in Nagari Sasak Ranah Pasisie. Problems in the study, irregular buildings, dense buildings so that there is no space between buildings, low quality buildings (semi-permanent, uninhabitable), inadequate environmental roads, no access for emergency vehicles in the form of fire trucks, minimal provision of clean water from PDAM, drainage and wastewater have not been properly connected to the city system, there are still houses that do not have septic tanks and healthy latrines, there is no good waste management, and there is no fire hazard management system in the form of fire protection facilities, such as hydrants, APAR and water sources. The research method used is a qualitative method guided by the slum assessment components in the arrangement area using a weighting analysis tool guided by the PUPR slum area identification guide (2018). The research results recommend the arrangement of the slum area of ​​Nagari Sasak Ranah Pasisie through the concept of arranging houses, roads, clean water systems, drainage flows, garbage, green open spaces, toilets and fire fighting systems.
