Abstract

The Singkawang City Environmental Agency is a regional agency responsible for environmental management and protection in Singkawang City. The complaint submission process at the Singkawang City Environmental Agency is still carried out directly, where people who want to report suspected pollution or environmental damage due to a business or activity come to the office and fill out a written complaint form. Some problems that can arise are people who have difficulty submitting complaints by coming directly to the office, filling out a written complaint form, so that the reporter does not know the next process. To overcome these problems, a web-based pollution and environmental damage complaint application was developed which aims to simplify the process of submitting complaints, storing complaint data, and following up on complaints. The method used in this study is the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with a Waterfall approach. SDLC is a logical process in developing information systems, which includes several stages such as planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. This system was developed with the CodeIgniter programming language. The expected results of this development are to increase efficiency in submitting and receiving complaints, as well as to make it easier for reporters to report complaints.
