Journal of Community Services (JCS) is an international, peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary journal published biannually by Ikatan Dosen Menulis. The journal serves as an academic platform for disseminating innovative ideas, practical approaches, empirical findings, and impactful community engagement activities conducted by academics, researchers, practitioners, professionals, governmental institutions, non-governmental organizations, and community development actors worldwide.

JCS focuses on the implementation of community service programs that contribute to sustainable social development, empowerment, and public welfare improvement. The journal encourages publications that integrate scientific knowledge, applied research, local wisdom, innovation, and collaborative partnerships in addressing various societal issues and developmental challenges at local, national, and global levels.

The journal publishes articles in English in June and December each year. Manuscripts may include reports on community empowerment, technology transfer, participatory development, capacity building, social innovation, policy implementation, educational outreach, entrepreneurship development, and interdisciplinary service-learning initiatives.

JCS welcomes original articles that demonstrate measurable social impact, interdisciplinary collaboration, innovation, and sustainable community engagement practices that contribute significantly to the advancement of community service sciences and societal transformation.

The first Journal of Community Service was recorded and online in 2019 with management in collaboration with GoAcademica Consulting, Research & Publishing.

Journal of Community Services (JCS) is accredited nationally by SINTA. Based on the Decree of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Directorate General of Research and Development, Number: 0110/C3/DT.05.00/2026, dated February 3, 2026, concerning the Notification of the Scientific Journal Re-accreditation Results for Period 2 of 2025, it is stated that Journal of Community Services (JCS)  has been nationally accredited with SINTA Rank 4 from Vol. 5 No. 2 (2024) until Vol. 10 No. 1 (2029).
